P90 – Humbucker

After going through 4 sets up PAF clones recently for my 2001 PRS McCarty, I decided to try the neck humbucker P90 5% underwound, and was blown away by the clarity and depth. The PAF clones just were not doing it for me, especially in the neck position. So much so that I ordered the bridge version 5% underwound, and it was the tone I had in my head that was so elusive for me. I have never had a guitar with P90s, but the sound samples on the Fralin website intrigued me enough to try them and wow! My McCarty is now so hard to put down. Great clarity with that single coil chime. Sounds amazing clean and with overdrive and anywhere in between. Love it. Highly recommend these pickups.
