Not a P90 expert by any means, but these sound great. I got a neck pickup with 5% under-wind, intended mostly for clean play that I usually use a Fender guitar for. It sounds just chimey and jangly enough to be used for something I would normally use a Fender style single coil for, like country, jazz, or clean rock, it just sounds warmer with a lot more bass and mids. In the middle position with a humbucker in the bridge, it sounds brighter, and if you turn up treble and turn down bass and mids on your amp, it’s just bright enough for rhythm funk. In short, it can do anything clean, but it also works with fuzz, overdrive, and even heavier distortion. Completely hum-cancelling, I can only hear the slightest noise when I have gain and volume at max on my distortion pedal, which makes the actual guitar deafening. 10/10 would recommend from a Fender fan boy in search of something warmer.
