I bought a used Fralin telecaster neck on Reverb, seller said it was for a project he never completed, so it was sold at a discount – I bought it for a future project (still need a body). It feels great, the frets seem good with enough height for bending, although I would have preferred 6105 medium-jumbo size this is more traditional. It needs a nut and tuners – already fitted some vintage-style slot-shaft tuners, and bought a graph-tech nut. I’ve had a boat neck on a Nash Broadcaster before, and it was too big for me, but this neck feels great – I can shave it down more if needed. Looking forward to buying a stratocaster neck from Fralin next, and shaving it down to a soft-V that fits my hand perfectly. This is the way to go, it’s so inexpensive that even if you have to pay a tech to do the frets, nut, and drill mounting holes, it’s still under $400 for one of the best necks for telecasters and stratocasters (original 50’s vibe), at least what I love. Thank you Fralin, now I need some of your telecaster and stratocaster pickups, which together with your necks will make very tuneful guitars – thank you!!
