All instructions to make the pleats are in the pattern but I'd say its solidly an intermediate pattern. You'll need about 650 yards of a worsted/aran weight yarn like Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran, a cable needle and a stitch marker to mark the beginning of rounds is optional. I especially found the marker helpful for the first few rows after I switched from working in the round to working flat.
